SHORT TRACK SPEED SKATING - REGULAR PROGRAM
Develop your skills as a speed skater

BEGINNER LEVEL

Suitable Age: 4-12

Experience Level: No to little skating experience

About the Course:

Learning to skate, gaining fundamental speed skating skills, building confidence on the ice through fun games and drills
The FULL rink is reserved for this class

Class Day: Every Sunday (Refer to Term dates)

Class Time: 6:15pm-7:00pm (On ice time)

Students should arrive 15mins early to put on equipment

Sep-Oct Term Fee (9 classes): $3,600

IMPROVER LEVEL

Suitable Age: 6+

Experience Level: Need to be able to skate comfortably forwards without any assistance at all

About the Course:

Developing speed skating technique, skating laps in speed skating position, practicing through drills and race
The FULL rink is reserved for this class

Class Day: Every Sunday (Refer to Term dates)

Class Time: 4:15pm-6:15pm

Rundown:

4:15pm-5:00pm Dryland training at Cityplaza podium (walking distance from Cityplaza ice rink)

5:00pm-5:15pm Walk from Podium to Ice Rink, put on skates

5:15pm-6:00pm On Ice training at Cityplaza ice rink

Sep-Oct Term Fee (9 classes): $5,400

Note:

Payments should normally be made for the full term. Except in the case of new joiners joining in the middle of the term, you may deduct the class fee of classes prior to your date of joining ($400/class for Beginner; $600/class for Improver). For the first class, new students will be provided with speed skating equipment (short track speed skates, helmet and gloves). After the first class, students need to decide if they will purchase or rent equipment going forwards.
Students are recommended to purchase their own short track speed skating equipment and protection gear. The equipment order form can be viewed in the registration link and will also be sent to you after registration. You can purchase equipment from other vendors or overseas websites that meets the requirement on your own but skates bought from outside need to be sharpened and ready for use. Hong Kong Skating School will not be able to provide skates sharpening service for poor quality blades.
Alternatively you may rent short track speed skating equipment (short track speed skates, helmet and gloves) for $40/class
Minimum equipment required:
- Short track speed skates
- Helmet
- Cut-resistant gloves
- Cut-resistant neck guard (Required for Improver level; Recommended for Beginner Level)

TRIAL/SINGLE CLASS

Short track speed skates, cut-resistant gloves and helmet will be provided.

Trial/Single Class Fee:

Beginner $450

Improver $650

Trial Classes will be subject to availablity.
